摘要: Ferulic acid was modified to produce a novel phenolipid containing butyl chains. esterified with butanol ferulate which further dihydroxylated followed by esterification butyric anhydride the acid. IR, NMR and MS techniques confirmed structure of synthesized structured lipophilic phenolic compound. The compound tested for in vitro antioxidant antimicrobial activities. produced showed moderate activity DPPH (2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging assay but linoleic oxidation method, it exhibited good compared parent reference compounds. prepared derivative could find applications as systems also potential prodrug It antibacterial effect against four bacterial strains studied. drug-likeness properties molecule calculated were acceptable ranges according Lipinski's rule 5 suggest that has cross blood-brain barrier.
