Chemo‐enzymatic synthesis of lipophilic ferulates and their evaluation for antioxidant and antimicrobial activities

摘要: An efficient chemo-enzymatic synthesis of ferulic acid-based structured lipids mimicking triacylglycerol with a pendant phenolic moiety was carried out for the first time. Initially, acid reduced to coniferyl alcohol, followed by its esterification fatty acids. The key step in dihydroxylation olefinic side chain ester, which eventually esterified acids generate lipids. Two such compounds varying lengths were synthesized good yield. Structural confirmation both is based on IR, 1H and 13C NMR, MS techniques. tested vitro antioxidant antimicrobial activities. Both exhibited moderate activity. lipid only shorter-chain showed antibacterial did not show any antifungal
