摘要: The mustard family, Brassicaceae, is well-known for its homoplasy in almost any morphological character at practically all taxonomic levels. genus Arabis, within the largest tribe of such an example comprising numerous para- and polyphyletic groups taxa. Past research during last 15 years has unraveled many phylogenetic relationships among ∼550 (or more) species notoriously difficult Arabideae. European Arabis hirsuta aggregate remained unexplored, however. Herein we analyze using nuclear ITS plastid DNA sequences Eurasian to characterize Hairy rock cress (A. hirsuta) relatives. Representative geographic sampling used study trait evolution, bioclimatic data are differentiate between species. Our overview puts into a reliable evolutionary framework, provide some striking insights trends correlating characters from seeds flowers with environmental as climate variables elevation. We demonstrate independent parallel evolution sets traits, and, therefore, could further elaborate our previous findings that Arabideae high speciation rates correlated perennial growth form occurrence higher Finally taxonomical remarks provided give added context.
