摘要: The main bottleneck in the treatment and reuse of effluents from deinking paper mills that employ reverse osmosis (RO) is high silica content, which causes membrane fouling limits recovery treatment. Silica removal with magnesium compounds enables to treat large volumes water efficiencies at low cost. Although soluble are efficient, their use limited since they increase conductivity treated waters. Therefore sparingly might be a promising alternative. Three (MgO, Mg(OH)2 (MgCO3)4•Mg(OH)2•5H2O) were studied this three pHs (10.5, 11.0 11.5) five dosages (250-1500 mg/L) ambient temperature (~20oC). Only 40% was obtained, not enough work regular RO recoveries without scaling problems. To removal, slurries pre-acidified concentrated sulphuric acid tested same conditions. In case, rates obtained (80-86%) pH (11.5), even temperature. These would allow working 75-80% units This pre-acidification, together Ca(OH)2 as regulator waters only 0.2 mS/cm. Additionally, instead NaOH increased chemical oxygen demand 15% 25%.
