摘要: Since the 1980s, major health care reforms in many countries have focused on redefining boundaries of government through increasing emphasis private sources finance and delivery care. Apart from managerial financial choices, reliance reflects political character a country. This article explores whether public-private mix financing differs according to traditions sample 18 industrialized countries, analyzing 30-year period. The results indicate that despite common trends all four during study period, overall levels expenditure rates growth public expenditures were different. Christian democratic had as high those social democracies, but differentiated them democracies. also relied both insurance out-of-pocket payments, while very limited countries. level spending increased at much higher among ex-authoritarian over 30 years, bringing these liberal by 2000.
