摘要: Research supports the construct validity of Relationship Profile Test (RPT; Bornstein & Languirand, 2003), a 30-item, self-report measure destructive overdependence (DO), dysfunctional detachment (DD), and healthy dependency. In this investigation, we assessed relationships gender, gender role, role stereotype ratings to RPT subscale scores. Study 1, replicated earlier patterns differences in scores, cross-sample consistency difference effect sizes, provided preliminary nonclinical norms for subscales. 2 showed that-as expected-DO items are perceived as stereotypically feminine, whereas DD masculine. 3, examined scores masculinity, femininity, androgyny We discuss theoretical, empirical, clinical implications these findings.
