摘要: Introduction: Enamel decalcification is a potential problem that can compromise the esthetic results of orthodontic treatment. Patient compliance with preventive measures frequently inadequate to resolve this issue. The purpose study was determine effectiveness sealing around bracket periphery in reducing decalcification. Methods: Sixty extracted teeth were collected and randomized 4 groups: group 1, bonded then sealed an unfilled sealant material; 2, filled, flowable composite 3, excess adhesive contoured at periphery; 4, conventional treatment bonding material removed no additional protection periphery. Each subjected mechanical, thermal, challenges simulate in-vivo conditions. Results: Groups 1 2 had lowest incidence decalcification; however, not statistically significantly reduced by use restorative/bracket material. An incidental finding significant loss beneath pads 4. Conclusions: Prophylactic pad or filled restorative did reduce
