摘要: Ampelopsis Radix has been used as a traditional Korean medicine for the treatment of burns and scalds. However, there no scientific research to date on wound healing properties scald burns. This study aimed evaluate effect japonica root tuber ethanol extract (AJE) induced cutaneous injury in Sprague Dawley (SD) rats. Hot water scalds were SD rats, who then divided into following 5 groups; 1) control group without treatment, 2) positive with 1 % Silver sulfadiazine (SSD), 3) Vaseline group, groups 4) 5) that containing 5 % 20 % AJE, respectively. The ointment was applied topically experimental once daily 21 days, starting at 24 h post induction injury. Gross examination, measurement size, histopathological examination performed. And quantitative cytokine levels tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-10 (IL-10), transforming growth beta 1 (TGF-β1), vascular endothelial (VEGF) performed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Clinical evaluation showed AJE groups, rapidly desquamated scab day 12 post-scalding; particular, achieved greatest extent skin recovery. Sizes significantly lower days 12, 15, 18, 21 treated compared groups. Histopathological well-organized epithelial layer, angiogenesis, tissue granulation collagen formation exception inflammatory cells AJE-treated 14, indicating regeneration had occurred. decreased TNF-α increased IL-10 2 anti-inflammatory action AJE. also decrease TGF-β1 7 VEGF 14 serum inflicted rat model. These results suggest possesses activity via accelerating repair during inflammation proliferative phases process.
