Idiopathic fibrosis of mediastinum: a discussion of three cases and review of the literature.

摘要: In two out of three cases idiopathic fibrosis the mediastinum there was also retroperitoneal fibrosis, and in one them extensive lungs. One these, a fit middle-aged man, died suddenly with severe coronary artery stenosis due to fibrosis. The third case that young man solitary fibrous mass around right lower lobe bronchus mimicking malignant tumour producing bronchial stenosis. Of various hypotheses about aetiology pathogenesis proliferation, an autoimmune process seemed most likely these cases.
