摘要: This paper investigates the efficiency and performance of three permanent magnet (PM) machines with different topologies when all use same ferrite material are optimized to meet set automotive traction specifications a minimum total active mass. The machine an interior PM (IPM) machine, conventional flux-switching (FSPM) PM-sandwiched FSPM machine. compared using number criteria including mass, component mass values, several geometric parameters. Both types exhibit significant benefits IPM but content these two is also much higher. ramifications tradeoffs explored as they apply electric vehicle application. Experimental results from demonstrator good agreement predicted three-dimensional finite element analysis used properly incorporate axial leakage flux at ends core.
