摘要: Objective Mycoplasmas spp. is among major contaminants of eukaryotic cell cultures. They cause a wide range problems associated with culture in biology research centers or biotechnological companies. Mycoplasma are also resistant to several antibiotics. Plasmocin™ has been used treat lines but Plasmocin™-resistant strains have reported. InvivoGen developed new anti-Mycoplasma agent called Plasmocure™ order eliminate contamination. The aim this study was the selection best antibiotics for treatment Materials and methods In experimental study, total 100 different mammalian contaminated species were evaluated by microbiological (as gold standard method), indirect DNA fluorochrome staining, enzymatic (MycoAlert™), universal species-specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) detection methods. animal human available National Cell Bank Iran, treated Plasmocure™. efficacy cytotoxicity compared those commonly such as BMcyclin, Plasmocin™, MycoRAZOR™, sparfloxacin enrofloxacin. Results comprised two that act through various mechanisms action than Plasmocin™. Two-week enough completely A moderate toxicity observed during plasmocure™; But, after elimination Mycoplasma, cells fully recovered. infections eliminated Plasmocure™, BM-cyclin, However, outcome process (i.e. frequency complete cure, regrowth death) varied Conclusion highest number cured achieved using which had lowest rate period four months. As conclusion; might be considered an effective antibiotic cultures especially precious vulnerable cells.
