摘要: Synopsis This paper summarises evidence taken from the literature to show effect of dietary energy level on voluntary food intake laying birds. Although groups pullets offered different diets tend adjust consumption so as maintain same calorie intake, this adjustment is imperfect in majority cases. Thus birds fed high usually “over‐consume” calories and gain more weight than lower diets. The degree over‐consumption observed when a particular strain range differing content correlated with characteristic that (r = 0.667). Strains characteristically intakes their compensate for differences diet less efficiently small strains which have low intakes.
