摘要: To provide insight into the influence of length scale on kinetics phase evolution during severe plastic deformation, we studied microstructure cryomilled Al and Ti mixture, which is further subjected to high-pressure torsion (HPT). The consisted elemental Ti, subsequent HPT deformation at ambient temperature led solid state formation Al-rich intermetallics. X-ray diffraction peaks originating from TiAl2 TiAl3 were observed after one revolution HPT, suggesting a shear strain-assisted A high resolution transmission electron microscope confirmed following for revolution. Further straining refinement mixing Al, as well any phases formed initially. intermetallics overall are discussed based generation density lattice defects that evolve under strain conditions present HPT.
