摘要: This contribution to the SIGPHIL workshop on reconciling social and technical in IS research proposes a sociotechnical approach that addresses many issues related long-standing duality of social/human versus technical/material. It shows based work system concepts 1) highlights potentially bypasses extremely basic ontological stumbling blocks research, 2) incorporates topics concerns original school, 3) illuminates technical/material, 4) these using terminology are much easier understand than highly sophisticated emerging discourse about sociomateriality. While not starting with assumptions such as constitutive entanglement people, technologies, organizations, this some sociomateriality leads interpretations may be useful it continues unfold.
