摘要: Chemotaxis allows polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN) to rapidly reach infected and inflamed sites. However, excessive influx of PMN damages host tissues. Better knowledge the mechanisms that control chemotaxis may lead improved treatments inflammatory diseases. Recent findings suggest ATP adenosine are involved in chemotaxis. Therefore, these purinergic signaling processes be suitable targets for novel therapeutic approaches ameliorate tissue damage.
