摘要: Abstract In this paper, I analyze the historical context, scientific and philosophical content, implications of thus far historically largely neglected Ninth Symposium Colston Research Society held in Bristol at beginning April 1957, first major international event after World War II gathering eminent physicists philosophers to discuss foundational questions quantum mechanics, respect early reception causal theory program mapped defended by David Bohm during five years preceding Symposium. As will be demonstrated, contrary almost unanimously negative even hostile Bohm's ideas on hidden variables 1950s, close aftermath 1957 received a more open-minded ideologically relaxed critical rehabilitation, which itself played vital essential part.
