摘要: Using the Poisson pseudo-maximum likelihood estimation technique, this paper evaluates effects of renewable electricity policies on generation using a large panel dataset that covers 122 countries over period 1980–2010. The results suggest play crucial role in promoting generation, but their effectiveness is subject to diminishing returns as number increases. There also evidence are more pronounced before 1996 well developed and emerging market countries, negative policy interaction effect fades with stage economic development. Lastly, varies by type energy source. Only investment incentives feed-in tariffs found be effective development all types sources for considered paper.
