摘要: Fluoride catalyzed rearrangement reactions of polymeric silsesquioxanes [RSiO1.5]n involve reacting at least one silsesquioxane material with a catalytic amount an organic fluoride temperature ranging from about −50° C. to 120° thereby forming reaction mixture for period 60 minutes 48 hours. To the mixture, quenching agent is added remove mixture. A cage compound can be isolated using precipitation or other extraction process.
