摘要: Polarization based sensing with tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) sensors is analysed theoretically by two alternative approaches. The first method on tracking the transmission for orthogonal states of linear polarized light that are extracted from measured Jones matrix or Stokes vectors TFBG spectra. second measurements along system principle axes and polarization dependent loss (PDL) parameter, also calculated data. It shown frequent crossing eigenvalues as a function wavelength leads to non-physical interchange principal axes; remove this unwanted mathematical artefact restore order corresponding provided. A comparison approaches reveals PDL provides smaller standard deviation therefore lower limit detection in refractometric sensing. Furthermore, analysis spectra allows identification sensor consequentially calculation spectrum any incident state. stability orientation investigated wavelength.
