摘要: Carbon fibers having excellent modulus of elasticity and tensile strength are produced in a high yield by process wherein polybutadiene prepared melt-spinning at least 85% vinyl structure, melting point 100° C reduced viscosity 0.3 to 1.2 dl/g; the then treated solution or suspension Lewis acid an inert organic liquid, whereby pollybutadiene is cyclized cross-linked; as mentioned above further melted sulphur sulphur-containing temperature 170 300° C, cross-linked dehydrogenated aromatized; carbonized raising thereof 750° 3000° form carbon graphite fibers. If so desired, ordinary which have been 750 1500° can be converted heating them 1500 C.
