Standardization of radionuclide by β(LS)-γ coincidence counting using the geometry-efficiency variation method

摘要: Abstract A liquid scintillation counting method consisting of three photomultiplier tubes for beta counters and a NaI(Tl) gamma counter has been developed the standardization radionuclides with β–γ coincidence technique. The detection efficiency functions are obtained by means geometry-variation in present work; an array detectors is moved uniformly at same time from centrally located vial to 50 mm. applied 60Co 134Cs. Unquenched samples nominal count rates 1000 6000 s−1 were prepared. observed efficiencies this 90 45% case 60Co, 84 50% output each channel summed together compared data analyzer. dead adjusted be 20 μs, sufficiently long suppress afterpulses channel. activity sample determined using Cox Isham formula. results good agreement KRISS certified values.
