摘要: This review considers the potential of certain dietary supplements, including garlic, Ginkgo biloba, ginger, ginseng, fish oil, and vitamin E, to interfere with hemostasis. Dietary supplements are common components diet in United States, about half US adult population taking some type supplement regularly. It has been suggested that could adversely affect coagulation when taken alone or combination antiplatelet medications. Supplements alter hemostasis by a variety mechanisms, such as reducing platelet aggregation inhibiting arachidonic acid, cellular signaling messenger inflammatory intermediate. To conduct this review, multiple databases were searched using search terms ensure relevant papers located. Moderate severe adverse events, spinal epidural hematoma, spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage, retrobulbar subarachnoid hyphema, postoperative bleeding, have occasionally anecdotally associated consumption supplements. However, number controlled studies literature is too limited demonstrate consistent anticoagulant effects drug therapy.
