摘要: Abstract We describe the design, performance, and operation of prepositioned areal electrofishing devices (PAEDs) that use rod electrodes for sampling fish in mesohabitat units a small stream. The flexibility design offered by PAED designs is an improvement over previously reported provides capacity to specifically match immobilization range with varying shape size under typical field conditions. In our study, was determined as distance from electrode at which given voltage gradient (V/cm) resulted several warmwater species. For waters specific conductivity about 700 μS/cm, threshold 0.14 V/cm 16 species tested. maximum 0.85 m when 350 V or more were applied PAEDs. evaluated performance considering effects length, orientation, supply on gradients ar...
