Electrochemical doping of single-walled carbon nanotubes in double layer capacitors studied by in situ Raman spectroscopy

摘要: Abstract The electrochemical doping of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in 1 M Et4NBF4 acetonitrile was investigated by situ Raman spectroscopy. capacitance determined to be 82 F/g for the positive and 71 F/g negative SWCNT electrode, respectively, which approaches typical values microporous activated carbons used supercapacitors. changes intensities shifts D G+ bands as well radial breathing modes (RBMs) during electron hole injection were studied a function electrode potential. For bands, leads strong upshifts can attributed stiffening C–C bonds corresponding phonon modes. Electron results much less pronounced band positions. intensity attenuation RBM found markedly different semi-conducting metallic SWCNTs, whereby sufficiently high loss due bleaching electronic transitions. main upshift upon both doping, is chemical environment individual SWCNTs charging discharging double layer within bundles.
