摘要: Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) and comparative genomic (CGH) are molecular techniques that have become valuable adjuncts the diagnosis of histopathologically ambiguous melanocytic tumors. These detect presence chromosomal gains or losses characteristic malignant transformation neoplasms. CGH FISH been used to characterize distinct characteristics tumors at various anatomic sites with certain histopathologic features (e.g. spitzoid, blue nevus-like, congenital nevi). Recent developments this field include transition from a research tool clinically available test new probe set targeting loci 11q13, 8q24, 6p25 9p21 reportedly distinguishes melanoma nevi sensitivity specificity 94% 98% respectively. Genomic analysis also provides prognostic information. This review discusses these advances diagnostics future directions field.
