摘要: Seasonal variations and distributions of dissolved carbohydrate concentrations at the Izmir Bay were investigated with salinity, chlorophyll a (Chl a), organic carbon (DOC) levels to understand their relationships. Samples collected from surface, subsurface bottom depths seven stations. DOC ranged 32.2 244.2 µmol/L, in general, increased winter summer, then slightly decreased autumn. Monosaccharide (MCHO), polysaccharide (PCHO) total (TDCHO) found between 0.7–8.3, 0.7–19.5, 2.6–24.6 µmol/L. DOC, MCHO, PCHO TDCHO higher middle-inner bays, under influence anthropogenic inputs, compared outer bay. changes MCHO/DOC, PCHO/DOC TDCHO/DOC ratios statistically significant (p<0.05) showed decrease trends summer-autumn seasons. Distributions wide ranges (2.5%–42.3%) indicated presence newly forming degrading fractions DOM. According results factor analysis, Chl a, MCHO explained same groups. In conclusion, that might be influenced by biological processes terrestrial/anthropogenic inputs.
