摘要: The prevalence of epilepsy is about 1% and one-third cases do not respond to medical treatment. In an eligible subset patients with drug-resistant epilepsy, surgical resection the epileptogenic zone only treatment that can possibly cure disease. Non-invasive techniques provide information for localization epileptic focus in majority cases, whereas others invasive procedures are required. last years, non-invasive neuroimaging techniques, such as simultaneous recording functional magnetic resonance imaging electroencephalogram (EEG-fMRI), positron emission tomography (PET), single photon computed (SPECT), electric source (MSI, ESI), spectroscopy (MRS), have proved their usefulness defining focus. combination these yield complementary concordance crucial guiding clinical decision, namely planning EEG recordings or respective surgery. aim this review present potential combination, role pre-surgical evaluation pharmaco-resistant epilepsy.
