摘要: Localization to the ground state of axial motion is demonstrated for a single, trapped atom strongly coupled field high finesse optical resonator. The atomic cooled by way coherent Raman transitions on red vibrational sideband. An efficient detection scheme enabled strong coupling in cavity QED used record spectrum, from which inferred. We find that lowest level potential with zero-point energy [h-bar]omegaa/2kB=13 µK occupied probability P0~=0.95.
