Tools for evaluation of restriction on auditory participation: systematic review of the literature

摘要: PURPOSE: To systematically review studies that used questionnaires for the evaluation of restriction on auditory participation in adults and elderly.RESEARCH STRATEGY: Studies from last five years were selected through a bibliographic collection data national international journals following electronic databases: ISI Web Science Virtual Health Library - BIREME, which includes LILACS MEDLINE databases.SELECTION CRITERIA: available fully; published Portuguese, English, or Spanish; whose participants and/or elderly participation.DATA ANALYSIS: Initially, based reading titles abstracts. Then, articles fully information was included Strengthening Reporting Observational Epidemiology (STROBE) checklist.RESULTS: Three-hundred seventy found researched databases; 14 these excluded because they more than one database. The abstracts 356 analyzed; 40 them full reading, 26 finally selected. In present review, nine instruments participation.CONCLUSION: most assessment Hearing Handicap Inventory Elderly (HHIE), Adults (HHIA), Screening (HHIE-S). use can assist validating decisions audiology practices be useful fitting hearing aids results aural rehabilitation.
