摘要: In order to determine the localization and activity of alkaline acid phosphatase in synovial membrane osteoarthritic hip joints, enzymo-histochemical analyses were performed using Burstone's Barka & Anderson's methods. Frozen sections biopsy material from 12 6 control joints studied. Alkaline was found located fibroblasts below lining cells capillaries precapillary arterioles. Acid seen lysosomes cells. Semiquantitative evaluation by means initial time determination showed significantly greater synovia than group. Whilst increased lysosomal enzymes is presumably implicated joint cartilage damage osteoarthritis, significance elevated levels not yet clear.
