摘要: OBJECTIVE: The clinical course of Crohn’s disease is often unpredictable. The aim this study was to select the most useful parameters able predict relapses. METHODS: One hundred-thirty patients in remission were followed every 4 months for 2 yr or until relapse. Demographic and data recorded intestinal permeability (lactulose/mannitol [L/M] test) biochemical tests (white blood cell count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein, α1 acid glycoprotein, serum iron) performed at entry. A subgroup 54 had follow-up repeated months. RESULTS: Fifty-two (40%) relapsed during 2-yr follow-up. significant correlation found between relapse gender (p = 0.030) but not age, extent type disease, previous surgery, therapy. Increased L/M test 0.0001) decreased iron level 0.0057) associated with Time-dependent analysis, on receiving serial evaluation, showed that alteration only variable could a (RR 8.84, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.41–53.37; p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The identifies apparent remission, high risk relapse, better than indices. Different treatment strategies might be suggested patients.
