摘要: An unmet need remains for a bone graft substitute material that is biocompatible, biodegradable and capable of promoting osteogenesis safely in vivo. The aim this study was to investigate the use novel collagen-hydroxyapatite (CHA) clinical treatment mandibular cyst young horse assess its potential enhance repair affected bone. A 2 year-old thoroughbred filly, presenting with multilobulated aneurysmal cyst, treated using CHA scaffold. Post-operative follow-up carried out at 2 weeks 3, 6 14 months. Cortical thickening area observed from computed tomography (CT) examination as early 3 months post-surgery. At 14 months, reduced enlargement operated mandible observed, no fluid-filled area. expansile cavity occupied by moderately dense mineralized tissue fat compact remodelled, clearer definition between cortex medulla observed. This report demonstrates promotion enhanced following application scaffold craniomaxillofacial indication, thus translation human applications.
