Rural-urban dimensions of inequality change

摘要: For developing and transitional countries we explore trends in rural-urban, intrarural intraurban inequality of income, poverty risk, health education. In particular, ask whether behind generally rising post-1980 lie offsetting inter intrasectoral trends, with narrowing rural-urban gaps - perhaps due to adjustment being more than offset by inequality. Our main finding is that there no such pattern.
