摘要: Multi-organ (liver, gills, kidney and spleen) histopathology in gobies (Pomatoschistus spp.) together with metal bioaccumulation sediment contamination levels were studied during 2011-2013 for estuarine environmental risk assessment the Ibaizabal estuary (SE Bay of Biscay). Results indicate that sediments moderately-strongly impacted by metals organic compounds, suggesting adverse biological effects could be likely. Similar multi-organ histopathological indices detected collected along estuary, indicating a similar affection degree. Accordingly, both decreased 2013 reflecting lower impact on fish health status. Liver, gills presented higher damage than spleen. Fat vacuolation hepatocytes, lamellar fusion melanomacrophage centers most prevalent hepatic, branchial renal alterations, respectively. These changes may exposure to non-specific toxicants. Nevertheless, influence other variables should not excluded as causative factors. No severe pathological traits registered gonads, undisturbed reproductive status: In conclusion, use multi organ combination levels, contribute better understanding sub-lethal more accurate estuary.
