摘要: The moment tensor representation of seismic sources is applied to some close-in (2–13 km) accelerometer data contained nuclear explosions. two explosions studied are Handley and Pipkin, both detonated on Pahute Mesa at the Nevada Test Site. A variety Gree’s functions used in inversions for test sensitivity procedure assumed propagation path effects. simplest model consisted a half-space structure with most complicated three-layer over half-space. resulting source dominated by isotropic component deviatoric as much factor twenty-five smaller. time function appears have double peaked nature. fit calculated seismograms observed not greatly affected Green’s function.
