摘要: Absorption and surface roughness of a substrate are believed to impact flexographic print mottle. However, their respective contributions not that well recognized as they always co-exist. In addition average absorption rate, uniformity is higher importance even more difficult separate from roughness. Therefore we propose method independently study the effects non-uniformity on quality. This achieved by introducing artificial with well-controlled barrier patterns. The patterns added onto coated boards means printing appropriate chemicals. These modify only chemistry but also pore structure closing pores. This article provides proof concept, which has successfully been applied seven liquid boards. For first time, this technique enables one create property-matrix, vs. e.g. From matrix either properties mottle can be studied independently. Experimental investigations showed level in board had clear most cases relationship appeared linear, though degree differed another. suggests was sensitive uneven absorbency some samples. may contributed relative other including original surface. When at constant low level, becomes pronounced.
