摘要: Two seasonal volumetric temperature/salinity diagrams have been prepared for the waters of Middle Atlantic Bight from Nantucket Shoals to Cape Hatteras, a depth 200 m and extending as much 130 km beyond edge continental shelf. Total volume included is 23,145.6 kms, which about half slope water, more saline than 35%,. Most it in distinctive subsurface maximum region near 13”C, named upper water thermostad. The less shelf has #two modes divided by minimum 33.6%. fresher mode, associated with shallow depths, identified coastal water; that 33.6-35% called found seaward break. There very little change total but its geographical distribution varies, showing effects spring runoff suggesting summer influx northern portion bight. Comparison similar census Gulf Maine
