摘要: Abstract Racial differences in kidney transplantation have received recent attention both the medical community and general public. Most efforts to improve renal among minority groups been directed toward cadaveric donation transplantation. Since evaluation of comparative trends by race living related donor (LRD) lacking, we examined LRD from 1983 through 1990 using national data US Renal Data System. The total number LRDs blacks did not change during 8-year period between (198 197 1990). During this same period, whites increased 11% (1,390 1,548 Rates per nontransplanted dialysis patients were consistently lower females compared with males, respectively. White males a fivefold higher rate than black whereas white fourfold then females. When intra racial gender examined, transplanted kidneys at 20% This difference was present 1989, but nonexistent 1990. Among whites, also had females, which gradually decreased 34% In view ever-increasing demand for cadaver organs, additional effort society increasing rates represents more promising approach organ all single focus on donation. If such are specifically targeted, described disparities likely be reduced.
