摘要: Renal transplantation is the most successful treatment strategy for patients with ESRD to improve survival and quality of life. The study presented here examines relationship gender living related (LR) donor recipient rates in United States. National data from States Data System (USRDS) were used this study. All LR transplants occurring between 1991 1993 among blacks whites included (N = 6193). Transplantation donation men women calculated. Poisson regression was calculate female/male rate ratios. Overall, 10% less likely receive a transplant than (rate ratio [RR] 0.90, P < 0.001). This difference increased over time (Female/Male RR 0.95, not significant [NS]) (RR 0.85, In contrast, significantly more donate kidney 1.28, 0.001 1.29, blacks, respectively). Analyses by age subgroups revealed that only aged 20 44 yr likelihood receiving equal women. Higher compared observed all race except young (aged 0 19 yr). Recipient appeared influence rates. female-to-male relative higher when donations female, male, recipients. national suggests an imbalance Women are but men. Several potential explanatory factors explored. These findings suggest need development gender-appropriate interventions encourage women, ultimately facilitate greater use modality.
