摘要: The long-term impact of elevated concentration CO2 on assimilation activity sun-exposed (E) versus shaded (S) foliage was investigated in a Norway spruce stand [Picea abies (L.) Karst, age 14 years] after three years cultivation two domes with adjustable windows (DAW). One DAW supplied ambient air [AC, ca. 350 µmol(CO2) mol−1) and the second [EC = AC plus mol−1]. pronounced vertical profile photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) led to typical differentiation apparatus between sun needles. Namely, photon-saturated values maximal net rate (P Nmax) apparent quantum yield (α) were significantly higher/lower for E-needles as compared S-ones. prolonged exposure EC responsible assimilatory stimulation observed mainly deeply degree this decreases order: S-needles dense part > sparse part. In exposed needles some signals manifestation acclimation depression found. effect decrease nitrogen content its smoother gradient E- S-needles. obtained results indicate that S-foliage respond differently EC.
