摘要: If sustainable development of Canadian waters is to be achieved, a realistic and manageable framework required for assessing cumulative effects. The objective this paper describe an approach aquatic effects assessment that was developed under the Northern Rivers Ecosystem Initiative. based on review existing monitoring practices in Canada presence thresholds ecosystem health assessments. It suggests possible would result integration national indicators health, initiatives (e.g., water quality index, environmental monitoring), provide avenue where long-term programs could integrated with baseline follow-up conducted process.
