摘要: Abstract Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit (coffee bush) is a strictly tropical species that requires warm temperatures for optimal growth. It drought-tolerant (even during establishment) and can withstand up to 7 months of dry season. L. oil extracted from seeds was analyzed determine it possible uses. The content the 5.44% mainly consisted linoleic acid (51.65%), oleic (21.40%), palmitic (13.21%) stearic (5.92%). This has high vitamin E activity because its concentration α-tocopherol (175.47 mg/100 g). weak peroxide values (0.6% 3.56 mequiv.·O 2 /kg oil, respectively) were indicators good quality oil. showed thermal stability (up 255.47 °C) some absorbance in UV-B UV-C ranges. results this new seed be used as an ingredient cosmetic or pharmaceutical preparations.
