摘要: Watershed development and management plans are more important for harnessing surface water groundwater resources in arid semi-arid regions. To prepare a comprehensive watershed plan, it becomes necessary to understand the topography, erosion status drainage patterns of region. This study was undertaken determine characteristics Pageru River basin using topographical maps on scale 1:50,000. The total area is 480 km2. It divided into X sub-basins analysis. dendritic include sixth order stream. quantitative analysis various aspects river network reveals complex morphometric attributes. streams lower orders mostly dominate basin. stream segments or less affected by rainfall. elongated shape mainly due guiding effect thrusting faulting. erosional processes fluvial origin have been predominately influenced subsurface lithology
