摘要: This paper presents the development of a wind tunnel that will be used for turbine testing in controlled environment. The prototype is designed to able provide speeds up 20 m/s (∼43mph) depending on cross sectional area chamber. A 42 inch tube axial fan driven by 5hp induction motor using variable frequency drive allow continuously from near zero maximum speed. rated produce ∼25,000 CFM and corresponding speed therefore dependent chamber area. There two sizes possible. One 2.5 feet other 3.25 feet. larger section allows turbines tested while smaller higher reached. also describes some possible applications apparatus academic
