摘要: Abstract As video games are becoming more and complex reaching a broader audience, there is an increasing interest in procedures to analyze player behavior the impact of design decisions. Game companies traditionally relied on user-testing methods, like playtesting, surveys or videotaping, obtain feedback. However, these qualitative methods for data collection time-consuming obtained often incomplete subjective. Therefore, instrumentation became popular recent years unobtrusively detailed required thoroughly evaluate behavior. To make sense large amount data, appropriate tools visualizations have been developed. This article reviews literature visualization-based analysis game metric order give overview current state this emerging field research. We discuss issues related gameplay analysis, propose broad categorization visualization techniques their characteristics. Furthermore, we point out open problems promote future research area.
