摘要: Abstract Increase in business across international borders has led to many studies demonstrating the need for “global” managers. However, few operational frameworks a global mindset have been proposed. This paper discusses characteristics of such terms conceptualization/contextualization abilities. In particular, paradigm developed by Kefalas [Thunderbird Int. Bus. Rev. 40 (6) (1998) 547-561] was used determine whether managers U.S. textile and apparel industries can be defined as “globally minded”. Empirical results indicate that scored higher on conceptualization than contextualization. The study demonstrates importance training development mindsets improve their abilities adapting local context, i.e., It is recommended corporations should place more emphasis these skills prior assignments
