摘要: Excessive bioavailability of Zn causes Cu and Mg deficiencies resulting in hyperglycemia hyperinsulinemia/insulin resistance. These defects may ameliorate if the ionic imbalance them is corrected. In view this, three groups rats were included this study. Initially, they fed on semi-synthetic equicalories basal diet containing 20 mg (control, group-I), 40 (group-II) 80 Zn/kg (group-III) respectively for 3 months. Thereafter, half group-II III shifted enriched modified poultry egg (ME(Psi)) mixed diets (groups-IIME IIIME) while remaining continued to feed their respective another months completing a total 6 Hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinemia, hypercortisolemia, hyperzincemia, hypercupremia hypermagnesaemia with corresponding increase lipid droplets zona fasciculate adrenal cortex reduction liver glycogen content groups-II recorded. changes linked rise fall liver. The addition ME(Psi) led Mg, serum Zn, improvement glucose disposal, insulin sensitivity, approaching closer control group-I. data suggest that these can serve as non-pharmacological dietary supplement prevent resistance/hyperinsulinemia populations who are at higher risk diabetes mellitus either due genetic predisposition excessive absorption retention or food chain.
