Is the Spectrum of Gravitational Waves the "Holy Grail" of Inflation?

摘要: It is often said that detecting a spectrum of primordial gravitational waves via observing B-mode polarization the Cosmic Microwave Background "Holy Grail" inflation. The purpose this short note to point out it indeed immense scientific interest search for signal in polarization. However, rather than proving inflation right paradigm early universe cosmology, positive direct might well be due other sources In fact, careful characterization even falsify inflationary paradigm.
