COVID-19 Infection in Iranian Children: A Case Series of 9 Patients

摘要: BackgroundCOVID‐19 is an acute infectious respiratory disease caused by a novel coronavirus. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the infection global pandemic. incidence, severity, and prognosis of this are likely to be different in children compared with adults. Herein we present 9 pediatric patients COVID-19 Iran.Case PresentationWe cases admitted hospitals Iran. Six were male. youngest was two years old oldest one ten years. All had at least infected family member. Fever, chills, myalgia, cough, tachypnea, retraction, crackle common all cases. None our presented diarrhea, vomiting, or runny nose. Three leukopenia lymphopenia. COVID‐19 RNA identified three In cases, elevated C-reactive protein erythrocyte sedimentation rate detected. Two high level lactate dehydrogenase. received supportive care antibiotic therapy discharged within six days good general condition.ConclusionsCOVID-19 pneumonia no underlying diseases. Our recovered without need for LPN/r, ribavirin, mechanical ventilation.
