Morbidity Patterns in Oncology Patients at FMRI, Gurgaon:A Hospital Based Study at a New Tertiary Care Institute

摘要: Objective: This study aims to analyze the patterns of morbidity amongst cancer patients attending a tertiary care hospital. Materials and Methods: Data were collected from various departments dealing in care. Patient’s data categorized according diagnosis place residence. Results: A total 1490 new registered. Out these 1140 Indians 22 different states {males= 609 (53.4%) females= 531 (46.6%)} remaining 350 27 countries 223 (63.7%) females=127 (36.3%)}. The five most common site groups all males (n=832) digestive organs (18.6%) followed by lymphoid, hematopoietic related tissue (16.8%);  respiratory & intrathoracic (14.1%); then eye, brain other parts central nervous system (11.4%) lip, oral cavity and  pharynx (9.5%)  females (n=658) breast (31.5%)  genital (17.3%); (11.2%); (9.3%) (9.0%). Conclusions:  present highlights pattern among corporate health institute. There is therefore an inherent bias, leading sites malignancies Indian varied that Western population; this could be attributed cultural, environmental factors, life style, genetic factors etc. regions India nations world.
